HIT Perla & Park Casinos

In September, I had the pleasure of shooting a 3-day lifestyle photography project for HIT Perla & Park casinos and hotels in Nova Gorica. The project involved capturing the various moments and scenarios guests can experience while visiting their services and the wider geographical region, resulting in a final shot list of over 60 images.

Shooting the casino interiors was a special photographic treat for me due to the technical complexity involved in dealing with the low power lighting on the scenes. The solution was to add ambient light through long exposures and complement it with short-duration flash strobes, resulting in stunning shots.

This project was also the first opportunity to test my new Fujifilm GFX 100s camera. I was initially hesitant about switching from my trusty Phase One, but the GFX 100s has been an absolute joy to work with, especially for a photographer accustomed to using a slow, heavy, and expensive system. The only downside to the GFX 100s is the massive file sizes, but that's a small price to pay for the incredible image quality produced by the camera's 100 million pixels.
